london trash
In 1999, on holiday London, I was resolved to rediscover the back pathways I often roamed during my earliest stays in the city, circa 1993-94. Of the many pictures taken on that trip, these seemed to best capture the spirit of my earliest wanderings. They depict everyday household items doing their best to acclimate with their atypical placement. Alienated from their traditional environments, much like I was, they seem unsettled. Some are broken, many left in disarray. Nevertheless, they have kept a sense of dignity, and are doing their best to fit into their new transitory outdoor homes.
