The High Line Effect
Robert Mann Gallery, New York
2013
Collaged prints: pigment ink on Photo-Tex paper

“The High Line Effect” series explores The High Line's role as a unique form of adaptive reuse of urban infrastructure. By simultaneously describing the experience of “above" and “below," the viewer floats through the city while navigating its traffic-filled streets, revealing how a shift in perspective changes the nature of space. The work uses the park's exit and entry points as compositional guides, creating a block by block analysis of new construction since the High Line's opening in 2009.
